Utrecht Central Station is the most important public transport interchanger of the Netherlands. The necessity of developing the technical rail and bus infrastructure combined with the demand for a better implementation of the station into the innercity has led to a Masterplan on strategy, public realm, infrastructure and new programme, to be developed in the next 20 years.
